Newsletter September 2009
I'm led to believe that in order for all the current Securitel connections to be converted from the Securitel network, there needs to be over 120 STUs per Day converted to alternative technologies.
Ooh aah !
You can bet that 1000s of STUs will not be converted by the 31st December 2009 when Telstra shuts off the Securitel network....who will be liable for the customer who is without a connection and gets burgled?? I bet there will be a lot of very angry customers.
What a Worry ! We were a bit worried about running out of stock (demand has been high) ..we were down to 250 TCDs ... then a new shipment arrived in the nick of time ... now we have 1000s in stock and we're ready to rumble...
The Emizon Solution - the ideal Securitel Replacement ....... Ease of Installation. The TCD can be fitted into any panel and is commissioned at the press of a button. Now available in more than 25 Monitoring Centres across the country what could be easier.
Flexibility – Emizon 21 can run as Dual path (Ethernet and GPRS), GPRS only or Ethernet only. Emizon even added a Class 2+ service to give a very practical supervision level of 1 hour,
Price – from $330
Peace of mind - Emizon 21 meets the requirements of the new Australian Standard AS/NZS2201.5:2008 (Alarm Transmission Systems) meeting and exceeding all the requirements for Class 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 for their single and dual path services. This includes Security, Availability, Supervision, Transmission Time and Alarm Panel Inter Connection Supervision. All the tested events were sent and fully acknowledged end to end by the automation software.
Future Proof - Emizon is specifically designed for IP/Broadband networks and the TCD software can be updated at the touch of a button. Only recently a major Telco expressed concern about the high rate of errors and retries that are occurring in their network with alarm systems and medical monitoring dialers connected to phone lines using Fibre and VOIP, problems due to the incompatibility of old and new technologies is only going to get worse.
The Telcos want us to believe all is well....Who do they think they are kidding?
Moving forward - Emizon has released their RAPID remote servicing application. This allows Up Load and Download to Nx, Concept, DSC, Bosch and Tecom panels via the IP or GPRS paths, i.e. no PSTN required. - how many other products do you know that can do this??
New Products and Services for the Security Industry
Fixed IP address on a 3G modem Internode now offer a static IP address on 3G SIMs ... great for remote monitoring of CCTV, remote diagnostics. see... http://www.internode.on.net/business/internet/nodemobile_data/ They work the same as Internodes current dynamic IP services - just added a static IP address for an extra $5 per month. So the aspects that have already made NodeMobile Data very popular - controllable costs (ie no shaping or automatic excess charges); the free (and good!) USB modem on contract; the no contract option; the low monthly price for 500 MB service, etc) are all also included on the static IP plans.
PCRx (Dual Line dialler Receiver) The PCRx is a microprocessor-based alarm dialler receiver. The PCRx board, is plugged into a PCI slot of a computer that supplies 12VDC only to the PCRx board or run it on a separate 12DC source. The PC is used virtually as just a housing and power supply for the receiver. The PCRx has 2 incoming exchange lines. This can be used in the office to test the correct setup of dialers...
